Φιλεώ Eλληνικός
It’s the second week of uni already (and this is the first time I’m really updating in a while)! I’m taking 3 extra credits this session and it feels like I don’t have have much time for myself. Yes, that equates to 27 credits this time, 26 hours per week. And guess what, I’m taking a Greek class… and I’m loving it!
We are currently doing the Book of John, which was written in Κοινὴ Ἑλληνική (Koine Greek). Taking this course is making me miss Greece! Ah, the ruins of Olympia and Delphi, the Acropolis of Athens, the ruins of Troy, etc.. I want to go back! Miss travelling and reading reading history…

Back in Sydney
I had the opportunity to fly on Singapore Airline’s Airbus A380 the trip back to Sydney. The baggage carousel for the A380 at Kingsford Smith International was pretty similar to the other carousels The flight I took had a 555-person configuration. And yes, do imagine 555 people claiming their luggage at the SAME TIME!
A MAYHEM!
That remote control looks very familiar. Logitech-esque I would say. It even has a QWERTY keyboard on the other side.
The upper deck
10″(?) LCD screen
This is what would happen after an A380 flight. Long taxi queue! :S

Penang
The Democratic Action Party has gained control of the state government of Penang (I know this is old news, anyway…). I couldn’t believe it when I found out from the A380 console’s news feeds. For years, I have experienced and seen sloppy governance first hand. Makes me discontented with Penang and Malaysia. Enough is enough for the people of Penang. The people have spoken.
I will keep watch on Penang. I’ve been unsure about resettling in Penang, especially due to its tardily development rate. Although there would be many job opportunities related to my field of study, I might want to go out around the world first. But I guess God would have a better plan for me…

Vista SP1
Yes, SP1 was out yesterday. I sort off expected it to come on Microsoft’s Tuesday (since they have their ‘Patch Tuesday’). Windows Update told me that there weren’t any updates he first time I tried. Didn’t work the second nor the third time. It finally worked on the fifth time (I did not know that they released the standalone installer). Moral of the story: be persistant, especially with Microsoft.
Vista SP1 download
Installation wasn’t a breeze. It took a little more that an hour and a few restarts to complete. It seems that Vista is faster and more stable, I don’t think it’s psychological. My drivers seem alright at the moment (they crash a few times a day during pre-SP1 days). Although this service pack did not include any new features to the OS, it is better than having plain Vista. I repeat, N-O N-E-W F-E-A-T-U-R-E-S. SP1 should have been sold as the initial version of Vista. I think I need to cross over to Mr. Job’s platform.

Are you sure the ruins of Troy are in Greece? -.-
But hey, nice to see that you’re doing fine. And indeed, you should move over to Mr. Job’s platform.

I know that Troy is in modern-day Turkey. I shouldn’t have included Troy in that sentence, but I did not say it was in Greece.
I WANT YOUR COOKIES! But I think I’ll stick with with Debian/Ubuntu till it’s financially possible. BTW, Macbook Air sucks!
